The celebrated rock band Scorpions will perform an exclusive concert in Belgrade on June 25 at Štark Arena! Five years after the previous spectacular performance in Belgrade, the Scorpions, by popular request, have decided to expand their already booked tour and add another concert at the same venue right in Belgrade for their Balkan fans!
The Scorpions’ shows are true rock performances in every sense which confirms their reputation of one of the few today’s bands that are distinct in their picturesque performance and high-quality sound.
It is almost impossible to utter the career of Scorpios in numbers. However, one number should be mentioned: over 100 million albums have been sold to date. This makes Scorpions the most successful rock band in continental Europe.
Their songs "Still Loving You", "Wind of Change" and "Send Me and an Angel" became eternal hits that are still replayed by numerous radio stations. But despite the incredible success of these ballads, Scorpions are first and foremost a hard-rock band whose songs "Rock You Like A Hurricane", "Blackout", "Dynamite" and others bring frenetic energy to the stage.
Fifty years have passed since teenagers Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, with their instruments and amplifiers, roamed the streets of Hanover which was waking up from post-war paralysis. During these 50 years, they have become the most successful German rock band. A few bands, including the Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Korn, and System Of A Down covered the hits of Scorpions. The song "Rock You Like A Hurricane" has been performed over 150 times by different musicians.
Numerous silver, gold and platinum awards make only a part of the Scorpions’ history. Their eternal desire to travel makes its another important part. They have played thousands of shows all over the world. They were the first Western rock band to sell out five concerts in the city of Leningrad in 1988. Moreover, their early performances in China and South Asia opened doors for other Western bands and that was a groundbreaking achievement.
During their career spanning over 50 years, there have been many magical moments. Some were recorded forever on live albums, the other – in films and music videos.
